the Chicago Art Institute a good school for artists in the comic?
want to be a cartoonist and I'm trying to find a good school to implement in my junior year of high school.
My daughter is going there next year. His father also went to Colombia, but did not graduate from there, and ended up working for Dark Horse here in Oregon. I do not think that working with them had much to do with Colombia, however. It is my understanding that the comics is a difficult area to break into, or at least it was back then, especially large companies. I also remember sharing the house somehow make the process even more difficult, and there being a real "who you know, not what you know" atmosphere. But now, people can post their own things and get a next line. Maybe you could start your own website, showing his work, and do some networking. Hit the comic book shows and get some experts to criticism of their work. There is much you can do to start yourself pointed in the right direction while in high school. As for Colombia, is a great school, and you should apply there as well as others. But whatever you do, keep drawing and keep an open mind about other possibilities and opportunities that may come your way. Good luck!
